The Cloud Services team are turning off support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1 on 06/08/2020 in CloudStor S3 gateways. TLS 1.0 and 1.1 have reached their end of life on 31/03/2020 and are no longer considered secure.

Please ensure your s3 client supports TLS 1.2 or TLS 1.3. If you aren't sure if your client supports the latest versions of TLS, please consult the vendor documentation, or email CloudStor support at support@aarnet.edu.au.

Note this advice applies to S3 gateways only.

Scheduled - The Cloud Services team will be performing a maintenance outage for S3 services only on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 8pm to 10pm. This will affect S3 services only and will not affect regular CloudStor services.

Note that TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 support will end with this outage. Please ensure your s3 client supports TLS 1.2 or TLS 1.3.

Update - The network incident has also affected our S3 control plane and S3 services are currently unavailable.

Investigating - The CloudStor ACT node is currently unavailable due to an internal network outage. This will result in traffic being redirected to our Brisbane and Melbourne nodes with performance degradation. The AARNet network team are investigating and seeking to restore services.
